Code Refresh Survey
Are you aware that the City of Richmond is in the process of a “Code Refresh” for Zoning guidelines?
Did you know it could mean changes for EVERY residential neighborhood in RVA including Forest Hill/Forest Hill Terrace?
Here’s the proposal for EVERY residential lot in RVA:
Allows up to 2 dwelling units plus an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on every lot, includes single-family detached and duplexes. (Click here and navigate to page 2-6 to see diagrams of proposed residential districts.)
Proposed setbacks: Existing range or 10-20’ from primary street, 0-10’ from side street, 3-5’ from side and rear lot boundary, and 3’ from alley.
Buildings may be up to 3 stories, 35 feet.
Amount of land that buildings can cover on lot: 60-75% coverage.
You have until September 28th to share your opinions with the City. Here are three ways to share:
