This year there was a seismic shift in the way the city collects leaves. The city will no longer send out vacuum trucks to the neighborhoods at a certain time in the fall to collect the leaves. We now can rake and bag our leaves. You can put up to 10 bags of leaves out with the trash each week or keep the bags of leaves out front until the designated time frame when the city will send out a truck to pick up the leaves. The last option using city services is to pay $30 to have a truck come out and vacuum the leaves. If you are bagging leaves our 4th district Council Person has procured biodegradable bags for the residents for free. Come pick some up Friday, Oct 6 at Stony Point Shopping Center (3000 Stony Point Rd, at the corner of Huguenot Rd) to in front of the old Martin’s from 11:00 am – 1:00
